Do you feel like you are in the same place (or two steps back) in your life today as you were last year? I have felt that way so many times. New Year resolutions were made and followed. Well, I followed them for a few weeks at least and then stopped. I lost my focus. By setting goals and establishing a plan to break them down into bite size pieces, it is easier to advance towards our dreams.
Start with a cup a coffee and spend some time thinking about what your dreams are. Next, have paper and pen ready to write them all down. These dreams can become reality with intentionally living. There are different categories listed below. List as many as you think of and do not limit yourself in any way.
A dream written down with a DATE becomes a goal. A goal broken down into STEPS becomes a plan. A plan backed by ACTION makes your dreams come true. – Greg S. Reid

Now get your calendar to put these daily tasks on specific dates. Put the monthly goals on the calendar too to help keep you focused.
Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. – Jim Rohn
At the end of each month, take some time to reflect how your plans are coming. If your calendar does not reflect the time dedicated to achieve the goals, it will not happen. We get so busy that it is very easy to lose focus. Finally, remember your “why” which is your long term goals and it will be easier to do the daily tasks.
The tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. – Benjamin Mays
A goal without a plan is just a wish. (no author listed)
You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. (no author listed)
People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine. – Brian Tracy
If you want to achieve a goal, it will not “just happen”. You have to be conscious of it and plan. The plan needs to be detailed down to what needs to happen daily. As with anything, there will be days or weeks where things do not go as planned. This is not an excuse to give up, but instead just to stop, refocus, and continue on. Live intentionally to be able to accomplish your dreams!
Be careful not to compromise what you want most for what you want now. – Zig Ziglar
